Colour Consultations

Colour as a design element is a powerful tool. Colour can be used to alter the perception of an interior space, harmonize existing furnishing and accentuate positive architectural detail. The possibilities of the effective use of colour are endless. The power of colour can elicit strong emotional response. It can relax, rejuvenate or even encourage conversation. Colour is one of the most inexpensive ways to set the tone for an entire living space, not surprisingly, choosing the right colours can be an overwhelming task

Grand Entrance will do a comprehensive client analysis, at which time colour, pattern and texture preferences will be established. Specific design goals will be addressed. The desired tonality of the space will be discussed. Space and light orientation will be determined, as well as proportions and the architectural context of the space.

Recommendations on effective colour schemes and paint finishes will then be given (based on design goals). When client requests, computer generated colour previews are provided. Grand Entrance uses Benjamin Moore fan decks for colour samples and provides a complimentary second consultation at which time tester colours are provided for viewing actual paint samples in the space under natural and artificial lighting conditions. By viewing the samples and observing the effects of light in the space, Grand Entrance will fine tune and adjust the values and chroma of selected hues.
